Are your kids all about the slime? My kids sure are and we have so much fun coming up with different colours and combos for slime! I will admit I am not the biggest fan of slime, but it keeps the kids entertained and busy so it’s something I don’t mind them doing! This slime is so easy to do, we make it often and the kids sometimes do it themselves. My girls have a huge love for slime, and have containers upon containers of them. At one point slime was so popular at their school kids were selling them! I don’t quite understand the fascination but kids love it!The simple ingredients:
- Elmers Glitter Glue
- Coloring (icing coloring or food)
- 1-1 1/2 tbsp Eye Contact Solution
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- In a container of your choice dump out all the glue. Add in tbsp of eye contact solution and tsp of baking soda. Mix well with a spoon.
- Use hands to continue mixing adding more activator (eye contact solution) if needed.
Although I get so tired of cleaning up the containers and clothes that have the left overs of slime on them, the kids do enjoy playing with it and can entertain themselves for a good while.
There are many different ways to make slime with many different ingredients but we chose not to use borax in ours. My daughters can find all ingredients at the dollar store and usually do, and make their own – it’s that simple!
What are your feelings on slime? Big fan or could you do without?
