Christmas Essentials Featuring Elf On The Shelf

This is a Sponsored Post. As always, opinions are 100% mine.

We have loved our Elf On The Shelf now since Christmas of 2012 and the kids have loved it ever since. It is a joy having “Elfie” visiting our household every year for the month and as our family has continued to grow, as with most other families, it’s time the elves have called in some invaluable reinforcements. The Elf On The Shelf has brought on board some sister Elves and Elf Pets too! When Elfie first arrived at our house, Jordan was at the age of belief and non-belief. As memory serves me correct, the addition of the Elf On The Shelf kept the spirit alive for our 9-year-old and Santa was on his way. Having five kids back then, all 9 and under, made it a little bit more difficult for us to use Elfie as a deterrent for bad behavior or an extra tool for them to listen better; we decided to use the Elf On The Shelf as more of a means of self-regulation.

It was made abundantly clear to our kids that Elfie was staying with us to see what our kids really liked and how they were as kids and to find out their different personalities. All to report back to Santa so he could send that perfect gift. They were also told that our beloved Elf On The Shelf reports everything back to Santa. We did keep one rule the same as the original tradition when it comes to our Elf on the Shelf – They can’t touch, but only look (so he could keep his magic to fly to/from the North Pole)As the years have gone by, and our family has grown along with so many other families, Elfie has gotten spread pretty thin. There are now some non-believers amongst the kids and now having 8 kids, this year our Elf On The Shelf will have his trusted Elf “Fiona” to help him along with his daunting task of reporting back to Santa. To help keep with the Christmas spirit and belief, a big Christmas Essential for us this year is the addition of the Reindeer Elf Pet.Not yet named, these special pets have been sent to be held and cuddled by our little ones to help keep Santa’s sleigh flying high and mighty because, without belief, the sleigh lays still. The Elf On The Shelf “Elf Pet” come with a magical charm that sends the kid’s belief back to the sleigh to help it fly. I know for sure that Justin and Hanna will be filling our little Reindeer full of love and beliefs every single day. These Elves also have a new line of clothing that for us is perfect for aiding us in the Elf On The Shelf process. These festively cute costumes are easy to put on and take off and totally broaden the scope of your daily storyline.
